Omnissa Horizon 8: Deploy and Manage

Nobody notices VDI until it breaks — and when it breaks, it breaks publicly: hundreds of users, one help desk, and an estate where the fault could be in brokering, provisioning, the gateway, the protocol or the certificate nobody renewed. The Omnissa Horizon 8: Troubleshooting Bootcamp exists for the engineers who take those calls.
The format is deliberately scenario-driven. Instead of lectures about features, participants work through broken environments — connection failures, instant-clone provisioning stalls, session-path faults through Unified Access Gateway, degraded user experience — and practice a repeatable diagnostic method with logs and tooling until it becomes reflex. It is an expert-level course: production Horizon administration experience is assumed, not taught.
As a training operator, we arrange delivery through authorized partners whose instructors troubleshoot VDI estates for a living — live online in your time zone, on site, or as a private group with scenario emphasis matched to your incident history.
Topic areas below are grouped in our own words. The full official agenda is available on request — it comes from the authorized partner as part of your quote.

Factual criteria only — level, duration, audience and certification. The right choice depends on your team's starting point and stack.
The platform administration course and the minimum baseline. The bootcamp does not re-teach Horizon operations — it assumes them and spends its time on fault scenarios. Administrators below HDM8 level should start there.
Balances advanced infrastructure administration with troubleshooting. Choose HIAT8 for engineers growing into the platform-owner role; the bootcamp is the purer diagnostic drill for teams who already run the infrastructure and want intensive scenario time.
If your incident history clusters around specific failure modes — say, UAG session drops or provisioning stalls — a custom troubleshooting workshop can be built from scenarios modeled on your own post-mortems.
If your team needs a subset of this program — or a mix of topics from several courses — we build a custom 2–4 day intensive on our own materials, shaped by your infrastructure. One custom program typically replaces 2–3 catalog courses.
Explore custom coursesThe format is scenario-driven: broken environments, realistic fault symptoms and structured diagnosis under instructor guidance, rather than lecture-then-lab. Participants spend most of the time actually troubleshooting, which is why solid Horizon administration experience is a hard prerequisite.
Production Horizon 8 administration experience — comfortable with pools, connection servers and the vSphere layer underneath. Engineers who have only taken Deploy and Manage but not yet run an estate will struggle; the scenarios assume operational instincts to build on.
Yes — the external session path through UAG, including certificate and trust-chain failures, is among the most common real-world incident sources and gets corresponding scenario time, alongside brokering, provisioning and protocol-level problems.
In private-group deliveries, yes to a meaningful degree: instructors can weight scenario selection toward your architecture and recurring incident patterns. For fully custom scenarios built from your post-mortems, we scope a custom workshop instead.
