Omnissa Horizon 8: Deploy and Manage

A Horizon estate that works is easy to run; a Horizon estate that just stopped working is where careers are made. Session failures rarely announce their cause — the problem hides somewhere between a connection server, a gateway, a certificate that expired quietly and an instant-clone pool that stopped provisioning. Omnissa Horizon 8: Infrastructure Administration and Troubleshooting trains the engineers who own that layer.
The course goes below the day-to-day administration level: connection-server replication and load behavior, Cloud Pod Architecture for multi-pod and multi-site estates, Unified Access Gateway in depth, and a structured diagnostic method built on logs and tooling rather than restarts and hope. It is the natural second Horizon course after Deploy and Manage, now delivered under Omnissa — the vendor the former VMware EUC portfolio belongs to.
We organize delivery through authorized partners, with instructors who run production VDI estates — live online in your time zone, on site, or as a private group with scenarios weighted toward your architecture.
Topic areas below are grouped in our own words. The full official agenda is available on request — it comes from the authorized partner as part of your quote.

Factual criteria only — level, duration, audience and certification. The right choice depends on your team's starting point and stack.
The standard platform course and the assumed baseline here: pools, publishing, day-to-day operations. Take HDM8 first; Infrastructure Administration and Troubleshooting goes deeper into the server side, scaling and diagnostics.
A pure troubleshooting intensive built around fault scenarios. Choose the bootcamp for experienced teams that want diagnostic drill time; HIAT8 balances advanced infrastructure administration with troubleshooting and suits engineers growing into the platform-owner role.
If the pain is one specific area — say, a multi-site rollout or recurring UAG session failures — a custom 2–3 day program can drill exactly that on scenarios modeled after your environment.
If your team needs a subset of this program — or a mix of topics from several courses — we build a custom 2–4 day intensive on our own materials, shaped by your infrastructure. One custom program typically replaces 2–3 catalog courses.
Explore custom coursesDeploy and Manage covers the whole platform at operational depth — pools, applications, day-to-day administration. This course assumes that level and goes below it: connection-server internals, multi-pod scaling, gateways, certificates and structured troubleshooting of the infrastructure layer itself.
The EUC line, including Horizon, was divested from VMware and now runs under Omnissa as an independent vendor. The technology and skills carry over unchanged; courses and certifications are simply delivered under the Omnissa name, which this page reflects.
Yes — federating pods, global entitlements and multi-site brokering are core content. Teams planning to grow beyond a single pod, or to add a second data center for availability, typically book this course for exactly that project.
Yes, if they administer Horizon already. It builds the diagnostic depth escalation work needs — logs, session-path analysis, provisioning failures. Teams wanting pure scenario drills on top of that can follow with the Troubleshooting Bootcamp; we sequence both in one plan.
