NetScaler 14.1: Deploy and Manage with Citrix Gateway

The load balancer is the one device everything depends on and almost nobody is formally trained on — configured once by a contractor, then edited with growing anxiety for years. CNS-225 (NetScaler 14.1: Deploy and Manage with Traffic Management) replaces that anxiety with understanding: how NetScaler — the platform formerly known as Citrix ADC, now back under its original name at Cloud Software Group — processes traffic, how to build load balancing that reflects real application health, and how to run SSL, content switching, GSLB and high availability as deliberate configurations rather than inherited ones.
It is the standard entry course for engineers who own NetScaler appliances fronting business applications, and the assumed foundation for the advanced security course CNS-320.
We organize delivery through authorized partners and vetted instructors who operate ADC estates in production — live online in your time zone, on site, or as a private group weighted toward the features your traffic actually uses.
Topic areas below are grouped in our own words. The full official agenda is available on request — it comes from the authorized partner as part of your quote.

Fill in the form below — it takes a couple of minutes. Within 5 business days you compare 2–3 concrete offers — provider, instructor, dates, price below the public list. We contract and administer the delivery end to end. Details:how we work and vendor training.
Factual criteria only — level, duration, audience and certification. The right choice depends on your team's starting point and stack.
The same NetScaler deploy-and-manage core with a different second focus: remote access via Citrix Gateway instead of traffic management. Choose CNS-227 when NetScaler mainly fronts a CVAD estate; CNS-225 when it load-balances business applications.
The expert follow-up: web application firewall, bot management, central management and optimization. Take CNS-225 first — CNS-320 assumes you can already deploy and operate the platform.
If the team only needs specific pieces — an SSL and certificate overhaul, a GSLB rollout, an upgrade rehearsal — a custom 2–3 day program on our materials covers exactly that scope on a mirror of your configuration.
If your team needs a subset of this program — or a mix of topics from several courses — we build a custom 2–4 day intensive on our own materials, shaped by your infrastructure. One custom program typically replaces 2–3 catalog courses.
Explore custom coursesBoth, in the sense that Citrix ADC has been renamed back to NetScaler under Cloud Software Group. The course teaches current NetScaler 14.1 releases; everything applies to estates still labeled ADC in their documentation and monitoring.
Solid TCP/IP fundamentals: routing, subnets, ports and a general picture of how HTTP and TLS work. Prior load-balancer experience helps but is not required — the course builds the ADC-specific layer from the ground up.
Only in passing. The traffic-management half of this course covers load balancing, SSL, content switching and GSLB. Teams whose NetScaler primarily provides remote access to a Citrix estate should take CNS-227 instead — the core platform content overlaps.
Yes. The course is taught on NetScaler 14.1, but the concepts — load balancing, SSL offload, HA, GSLB — carry across releases, and instructors flag what changed. Many teams use the course as preparation for a firmware upgrade project.
Fill in the request form on this page — team size, format, timing. Within 5 business days you receive 2–3 options from authorized partners with vetted instructors, dates and prices below public lists.
