Which certification does ENWLSD lead to?

ENWLSD covers wireless design at professional level. In 2026 Cisco moved the wireless concentration exams from CCNP Enterprise into the dedicated CCNP Wireless track, so exam numbering is in transition — we confirm the current mapping for your group when planning delivery.

Does the course teach survey tools?

Yes — design exercises use professional survey and planning tools, and the methodology transfers across products. The point is not one vendor tool but knowing which survey type a project needs and how to read the results critically.

Will participants configure controllers and access points?

Not much — this is a design course. Configuration, security and operation of the WLAN belong to ENWLSI, the implementation counterpart. Teams responsible for the full lifecycle usually plan the two courses as a sequence, design first.

Our Wi-Fi works fine in the office. Do we still need design skills?

Until the office moves, densifies, or someone adds voice over Wi-Fi. Most wireless pain traces back to design decisions made implicitly — AP placement copied from the old site, defaults left in place. This course makes those decisions deliberate.
