Do attendees need any wireless background?

No — the course is built for wireless newcomers. It does assume basic networking literacy: what a VLAN is, how DHCP works, roughly how switches forward traffic. With that baseline, it takes students from RF behavior through WLAN components to everyday client troubleshooting.

Is this a Cisco-specific course or general Wi-Fi theory?

Both layers are present. RF behavior and 802.11 standards are universal and taught as such; the architecture and hands-on parts use Cisco wireless platforms, which is what most attendees will meet in production anyway.

Will this course qualify someone to run our corporate WLAN?

It builds the foundation — understanding, vocabulary and first-line troubleshooting. Designing and operating an enterprise WLAN independently is the next course up: WLCOR for core implementation skills, or the CCNP-track wireless courses for design and advanced services.
