WLFNDU explains how wireless works; WLCOR trains you to run it. The course assumes RF and 802.11 basics and spends its time on controller architecture, security implementation, mobility design and daily operations — the responsibilities of an engineer who owns a production WLAN.

Which platforms does the course use?

Current Cisco enterprise wireless platforms — Catalyst 9800 series controllers and Catalyst access points — which is what students will meet in most production environments. Concepts transfer to cloud-managed deployments, and instructors flag the differences where they matter.

Does WLCOR cover wireless security in depth?

Yes — it is a core pillar of the course. Students implement 802.1X authentication, WPA3, and guest access patterns, and learn where the WLAN integrates with identity services. Advanced identity design itself is the territory of dedicated security courses like SISE.
