No. RAN concepts are explained for context, but the course looks at 5G from the network side: transport, IP architecture, the cloud-native core and service concepts like slicing. It is written for IP engineers who need to understand mobile, not RF planners.

Do attendees need mobile network experience?

No — the course assumes basic IP networking only and builds the mobile picture from scratch: 4G to 5G evolution, RAN/transport/core roles, and the terminology used in operator projects. Experienced mobile engineers would find it introductory by design.

Why would a fixed-network engineer take a 5G course?
