ENAUI Training for Your Team — Implementing Automation for Cisco Enterprise Solutions

Enterprise networks rarely lack automation ideas — they lack engineers who can turn a pile of one-off scripts into a method that works across campus, WAN and wireless. ENAUI (Implementing Automation for Cisco Enterprise Solutions) is the applied course for exactly that: model-driven programmability on IOS XE, the Catalyst Center APIs, SD-WAN and wireless automation, and the Python and Ansible patterns that make change work repeatable instead of heroic.

It is also a certification course with unusual leverage: the aligned exam 300-435 ENAUTO is a concentration for both CCNP Enterprise and DevNet Professional, so one exam advances whichever track your engineers are on. Teams typically book ENAUI after DEVASC-level skills are in place and a real automation mandate has landed — a Catalyst Center rollout, a config-compliance program, or simply too many sites for manual change windows.

We organize delivery through authorized partners and vetted instructors who automate enterprise estates in production — live online in your time zone, on site, or as a private group weighted toward the platforms you run.

Who this course is for

  • Network engineers tasked with automating an enterprise Cisco estate
  • NetDevOps engineers standardizing how changes reach the network
  • DEVASC graduates ready to apply automation skills to real infrastructure
  • Integrator teams building automation deliverables into enterprise projects

ENAUI vs alternatives: which to choose

Factual criteria only — level, duration, audience and certification. The right choice depends on your team's starting point and stack.

Cisco DEVASC (DevNet Associate)

The five-day fundamentals course: Python, APIs and automation concepts at associate level. Take DEVASC first if the team is not yet comfortable scripting against APIs — ENAUI assumes those skills and spends its three days applying them to enterprise platforms.

Cisco DEVCOR (DevNet Professional core)

The software-engineering core of DevNet Professional: application design, CI/CD, containers, security. Choose DEVCOR for engineers building automation as software products; ENAUI for engineers automating the enterprise network itself. On the DevNet Professional path the two pair naturally — core plus concentration.

A custom intensive

If your automation target is specific — Catalyst Center APIs only, or an Ansible rollout across your campus estate — a custom 2–3 day program on our materials covers that scope directly, using your platforms and change processes as the lab scenario.

Need only part of ENAUI?

If your team needs a subset of this program — or a mix of topics from several courses — we build a custom 2–4 day intensive on our own materials, shaped by your infrastructure. One custom program typically replaces 2–3 catalog courses.

ENAUI: frequently asked questions

Which certification does ENAUI lead to?

ENAUI is the training aligned with exam 300-435 ENAUTO, a concentration exam that counts toward both CCNP Enterprise and Cisco Certified DevNet Professional. Combined with ENCOR it completes CCNP Enterprise; combined with DEVCOR it completes DevNet Professional. We help plan whichever pairing fits.

How much Python do participants need?

Working basics: functions, dictionaries, JSON handling and simple REST calls — DEVASC level. The course moves quickly into platform APIs and does not reteach the language. For teams still building those basics, we schedule DEVASC or a Python primer first.

Does ENAUI cover Catalyst Center?

Yes — the platform formerly named Cisco DNA Center is a central lab target: its APIs for inventory, configuration templates and assurance data feature throughout. The course also covers device-level IOS XE programmability, SD-WAN and wireless automation, so the estate is treated end to end.

How does ENAUI relate to our existing Ansible usage?

It formalizes it. Many teams arrive with ad-hoc playbooks; the course puts Ansible alongside Python, model-driven APIs and telemetry so engineers choose the right tool per task rather than stretching one. Existing playbooks usually leave the course noticeably improved, and better documented.
