FCP-FAZ Training for Your Team — FortiAnalyzer 7.6 Administrator (FCP)

Firewalls generate answers to questions nobody has asked yet — until an incident, an audit or a capacity dispute suddenly asks them. FortiAnalyzer is where those answers live, and the FCP FortiAnalyzer 7.6 Administrator course teaches teams to run it deliberately: reliable log collection, sane retention, reports people read, and alerting that surfaces events instead of burying them.

It is a compact, one-day course with outsized operational value: most Fortinet estates have FortiAnalyzer installed, and few use more than a fraction of it. Paired with the FortiManager course, it completes the central-operations picture — configuration in one place, visibility in another.

We organize delivery through authorized partners, usually bundled with FortiGate or FortiManager training in a single plan — live online in your time zone, on site, or as a private group.

Who this course is for

  • Firewall and network administrators who own Fortinet logging
  • Security teams building visibility and reporting on the Fortinet stack
  • MSP/MSSP engineers running FortiAnalyzer for multiple customers
  • Engineers completing their FCP Network Security certification

FCP-FAZ vs alternatives: which to choose

Factual criteria only — level, duration, audience and certification. The right choice depends on your team's starting point and stack.

FCP FortiManager 7.6 Administrator

The configuration-management counterpart: FortiManager centralizes policy, FortiAnalyzer centralizes logs and reporting. Both are short courses; most estates running one need the other, and we usually deliver them as a pair.

FCP FortiGate 7.6 Administrator

The 5-day device administration foundation. Take it first — FortiAnalyzer training assumes you understand the policies and profiles generating the logs you will analyze.

A custom intensive

Need SOC-style workflows on top — event triage, custom dashboards, SIEM forwarding from your actual estate? A custom half-week program extends the administrator course into your operational context.

Need only part of FCP-FAZ?

If your team needs a subset of this program — or a mix of topics from several courses — we build a custom 2–4 day intensive on our own materials, shaped by your infrastructure. One custom program typically replaces 2–3 catalog courses.

FCP-FAZ: frequently asked questions

Is one day really enough for FortiAnalyzer?

For the administrator scope — deployment, log collection, reporting, retention — yes; the official curriculum is a focused single day. Analyst-level work (event investigation at depth) is a separate specialization we can add to the plan.

Does the course count toward certification?

Yes — the FortiAnalyzer exam is an elective within the FCP Network Security certification, alongside the FortiGate core exam. Administrator-track engineers often take FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer together.

Can FortiAnalyzer feed our SIEM instead of replacing it?

Yes, forwarding to an external SIEM is a standard pattern and the course covers where FortiAnalyzer sits in such a pipeline. For deep SIEM-integration scenarios we build a custom module on your stack.

What about multi-tenant use for MSPs?

Administrative domains — separating customers’ logs, reports and access — are part of the curriculum, and instructors with MSP experience can weight examples accordingly in private deliveries.
