Implementing and Troubleshooting Networks Using Cisco ThousandEyes (ENTEIT) trains teams to close that visibility gap: measuring delivery paths from agents you place, hop by hop, across networks you will never administer.
The course is a practical platform program — agent placement strategy, test design, path and BGP visualization, alerting — aimed at making fault isolation fast and escalations undeniable. What does ThousandEyes see that our existing monitoring does not?
The parts of the delivery path you do not own: ISP networks, internet exchanges, SaaS provider infrastructure. Traditional monitoring stops at your edge; ThousandEyes measures hop by hop from agents outward, which is where a growing share of user-facing incidents now originate.
Is the course hands-on?
Yes — students work in the ThousandEyes platform throughout: deploying agents, building test suites, reading path visualizations and BGP views, and configuring alerting. The goal is that your team returns able to instrument a new application dependency without vendor hand-holding.
Does ENTEIT prepare for a certification exam?
Not by itself. ThousandEyes topics feature in the 300-445 ENNA exam within the CCNP Enterprise track, so ENTEIT supports that path, but its primary purpose is operational: making a deployed platform earn its license fee.
Who should attend — network engineers or the SRE side?
Both benefit, and mixed groups work well. Network engineers learn to prove innocence or guilt with path data; SRE and application teams learn what network evidence to ask for. Private group delivery can weight scenarios toward whichever side dominates.
